Many students participate in a Studey Abroad program while at the 西瓜影视;Verne. The Student Health Center offers supportive service to assist you with your travel needs. The SHC offers study abroad physicals, laboratory testing, and some immunizations (assistance is provided for immunizations not offered in the clinic). These services are offered without an additional cost.<\/p>\n

A search to your travel destination can outline recommended, suggested, and required immunizations for that country.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Know which diseases are common in the areas you plan to visit or travel through.
\n\u2022 Begin to update immunizations for your trip, leaving plenty of time before travel.
\n\u2022 Be aware that food and water can be dangerous in developed, industrial or tourist areas as well as more remote areas. Remember that ice is a form of water.
\n\u2022 Do not eat uncooked foods such as salads that are washed in water. If you choose to eat uncooked foods, be sure to wash them in bottled or boiled water.
\n\u2022 Be careful about contact (including sexual contact) with other people as you would at home.
\n\u2022 Be sure the water is sanitary before bathing or swimming.
\n\u2022 Bring and use a reliable insect repellent for skin and clothing. Use netting when necessary and stay indoors during hours dangerous insects are most active.
\nYou should also bring a record of your vaccinations, medicines, blood type and other important medical information when you travel. If you get sick on your trip these records could be useful to the Health Care Provider treating you. Your student health insurance identification card would also be useful to have on hand as well as information regarding any additional insurance coverage you may have.
\nPersonal Travel Health Kit
\nTake a personal travel health kit on your travels. Things to include in the kit are: calamine lotion, antiseptic (germ killing) cream, insect repellent, sun block, pain killers (aspirin, Ibuprofen etc.), adhesive bandages, anti-diarrhea medication, motion sickness medication, prescription medications, as well as copies of all your prescription medication orders.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
