{"id":15553,"date":"2026-03-13T09:20:50","date_gmt":"2026-03-13T16:20:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/laverne.edu\/news\/?p=15553"},"modified":"2026-03-13T14:04:10","modified_gmt":"2026-03-13T21:04:10","slug":"ulv-volleyball-team-celebrated-ahead-of-gala","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/laverne.edu\/news\/2026\/03\/13\/ulv-volleyball-team-celebrated-ahead-of-gala\/","title":{"rendered":"Volleyball Team Celebrated Ahead of Gala"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span>Members of the ULV women\u2019s volleyball team with Scholarship Gala Committee co-chairs Rebecca Lally and Wendy Lau at Roberta\u2019s Village Inn ahead of the annual Scholarship Gala. <\/span><i>(ULV\u00a0Photo\/Brandon\u00a0Le)<\/i><\/p>\n<h2><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Players gather at Roberta\u2019s Village Inn before being honored for their standout season<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Members of the 西瓜影视;Verne women\u2019s volleyball team gathered at Roberta\u2019s Village Inn this morning for a special breakfast with supporters ahead of the annual Scholarship Gala, where the group will be recognized for its remarkable season.<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The informal gathering brought together players and university leaders to reflect on the team\u2019s accomplishments and the impact of academic scholarships.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Wendy Lau, a <\/span><span>ULV<\/span><span> trustee, City of La&nbsp;Verne council member and Scholarship Gala Committee co-chair, praised the players for embodying the spirit of the institution.<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThis is a phenomenal group of women,\u201d Lau said. \u201cThey\u2019re a great example of the type of students who come to La&nbsp;Verne. They\u2019re students, they\u2019re scholars, they\u2019re athletes, they do it all. Many are involved in jobs on or off campus or participate in clubs and other activities.\u201d<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The 2026 Scholarship gala will take place Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the Sheraton Fairplex Suites and Conference Center in Pomona.
